"Let the dead bury their dead" (Luke 9: 57-62)

Following Christ is a decision that does not admit balances and hesitations, it is a decision that invests an hour and one always and that recognizes an absolute primacy on all other loves and affections. Not to deny them, but to order them: because every human love, every fragment and shred of love, even decent and imperfect, finds reason, dignity, beauty, precisely in love for Christ.
From the Gospel according to Luca (Luke 9: 57-62)
At that time, while they went to the street, a man said to Jesus: "I will follow you wherever you go."
Jesus replied: "The foxes have their lairs and birds of the sky their nests, but the son of man has no where to lay the head". To another he said, "Follow me." And he replied: "Lord, grant me to go to bury my father first." Jesus replied: «Let the dead bury their dead; You go and announce the kingdom of God ». Another said, "I will follow you, Lord, but before lets me leave from those of the house." But Jesus replied: "Nobody who put his hand to the plow and then turns back, is suitable for the kingdom of God."
