5 september 2025 in Rome outreach international meeting On "Listening To the experiences of lGBTQ Catholics"
A jubilee pilgrimage is not only lived by walking: it also takes place by listening, welcoming stories, bringing voices and faces with it. On the eve of jubilee pilgrimage "La Tenda di Gionata and other associations"With Christians LGBTQ+, their family members and pastoral operators who accompany them, the friends of Outreach, the initiative founded in the United States by the Jesuit father James Martin SJ to understand the lGBTQ catholics Pastorally, they invite us to live a unique moment: a meeting of stories and faith with lGBTQ Catholics from different corners of the world.
The meeting “Listen to the experiences of the LGBTQ Catholics"It will take place friday 5 september 2025, give her 10:00 to 11:00, in General Curia of the Company of Jesus, in Borgo Santo Spirito 4: literally a stone's throw from the colonnade of San Pietro.
To open the meeting will be father James Martin SJ, with its tireless pastoral ministry next to LGBTQ people. Then we will start a journey in the testimonies:
- Ruby Almeida (India/UK, GNRC), a global look at the LGBT+Catholics feeling.
- Joanita Warry Ssenfuka (Uganda, Farug), which recalls how dignity in Africa can have a high price.
- Gonzalo Vilchis (Mexico, By moisturizing With love), a sign of how parish charity opens many doors.
- Christine Zuba (USA), trans woman engaged in her parish.
- Michael J. O'loughlin (Outreach), which tells the lives of LGBT+ Catholics+ beyond prejudices.
- Alessandro Ludovico Previti, the unpublished roads traveled by an artist, coordinator of inclusive projects with the Gionata tent.
Outreach, through its website, conferences, meetings and publications, it creates spaces in which LGBTQ people and the Catholic Church can talk, get to know each other and walk together. This appointment is proof of this.

Because, in a place so closely and symbolically close to the heart of the Church, listening to these voices is already a step towards the holy door that we will cross together with the witnesses of this meeting saturday 6 september 2025.
