Testimony of Irene on Pilgrimage LGBT+ "Feet on the ground, eyes to the heart" from Assisi to Loreto (29 july-7 august 2022)

For some time now I wanted to leave for this pilgrimage, after following the young Christian Christian project for a long time LGBT+ (PGC) on social media, I finally had the opportunity to meet everyone and all live.

I felt welcome and immediately at home, during the days of walking, several discussions between us very beautiful were born: there were moments of listening, discovery, sharing of what I had experienced up to that moment.

Not always and not everyone can say what I feel and what I live and instead in this context in a natural way and in no time I was able to tell so much about myself, feeling understood.

The moments of daily meditation gave every day new ideas for reflection, I liked listening to the stories of many: I really warned that we are all and all on the same boat and that we really make ourselves the one.

I discovered the beauty that we are as a group and as a community. I thank every pilgrinə for the sweetness, the ability to have fun with little and at the same time to face serious and deep discussions in the same context.

I go home with a new peace, with renewed awareness, with reflection material, with a sense of belonging to this deep Christian community that does not judge and does not exclude any part of what they are.

I go home with a deep serenity and with the certainty that we are together to walk, that we will open new roads, which I can count on you, that I can dream with you a new world where only love matters.
