Saturday 6 September 2025, from 18:00 to 23:00, the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics (GNRC) invites all pilgrims, friends and companions aThe Pilgrims' Rest (the rest of the pilgrim), a convivial aperitif in the suggestive setting of the Anglican church of San Paolo inside the Walls, in the heart of Rome.
The event will take place at the end of the Jubilee pilgrimage organized by La Tenda di Gionata and other associations LGBT+ Christian and their parents, and it is designed as a rest and sharing space after a day of intense and exciting prayer.
There are no speeches or ceremonies: only the concrete possibility of sitting next to other pilgrims, refresh themselves and tell the path traveled, listen and find yourself.
Dinner insisottoble of a church, surrounded by mosaics and windows, among the desks that become tables for one evening, is a strong gesture.
It is an invitation to rediscover the Christian community as a place of hospitality, the liturgy as a sharing, the table as a symbol of welcome.
The anglican church of San Paolo inside the Walls, with its neo -Gothic architecture and its internal garden, it becomes home for everyone for an evening: a space to recognize part of a common path.
It will be an opportunity to meet faces from all over the world: people from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe and Oceania. Different voices that have walked towards the same sign of Mercy: the Holy Door. ThePilgrims' Rest it was born for them, for all of us, to continue walking - this time around a table.
Participation is open to all and all, regardless of belonging to groups or associations.
To support food, drinks and space rental expenses, a donation is required at the time of registration (minimum 20 euros). Who can, are invited to offer a greater contribution to allow others to participate.
