We LGBT Christians on the way to Piacenza with the Galilea group
A group was born in Piacenza for LGBT Christians, we meet (the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month) to pray together and share our life and faith experiences in light of the word.
We call ourselves Galilea Group because we want to live in ours and other borders with confidence and hope, to become in turn "reception".
The group is open to anyone ... join us in prayer! For info: gruppo.galilea@gmail.com
Galilea Group for lGBT Christians
Then Jesus said to them, "Do not fear; Go to announce to my brothers who go to Galilee and they will see me there " Matteo 28.1-10
"The Galilea group, which refers to the Gionata project network, is a set of LGBT Christians, born to pray and share life and faith experiences in the light of the Word of God. We call ourselves Galilea Group because inspired by the phrase of the Gospel of Matteo 28 where Jesus says:" Do not fear; go to announce to my brothers who go to Galilee and there will be the second and we meet. Sunday of each month accompanied by the priests Don Paolo Cignatta and Don Umberto Ferdenzi ".
The group, born on 8 December 2019, expresses the existential conditions of LGBT people who share the Christian faith. "I lived in the Church a large exclusion crisis -said Carola -, but in this group I found greater serenity. We meet starting from our experiences, comparing ourselves with the Word of God. Our dream is not to find ourselves in a particular group, but to feel more part of the Church. Just yesterday we made a reflection on Exodus 5, in which we speak of the curtain of the conference.
Our feeling is to feel a small tent; the goal is to give life to a place without doors, where the stakes can be expanded and everyone feels loved. We call Ourselves "Galilea" precisely to indicate a border land with the function of bridge, also for the parents of homosexual people, so that no one feels alone ".
