"Nothing to cure". An investigation into conversion therapies on La Revue Dessinée Italia
The Revue Dessinsée Italy, quarterly magazine of comic journalistic investigations, in September in issue 10 hosts "nothing to cure", an investigation into conversion therapies, that is, those practices that have the claim to make queer people straight, edited by the journalist Elisa Belotti* and illustrated by Nicolò Pellizzon.
Through the stories of Rosario, Mattia, Veronica and Flora the investigation wants to make known the psychological damage caused by this aberrant practice and help to reflect thanks to the contributions of Letizia Passarella, psychologist and victims, who analyzed the traumatic consequences of conversion therapies ; and by Giacomo Viggiani, jurist and member of the Lenford network, and Francesco Lozupone, an expert in canonical and ecclesiastical law, who have included the phenomenon in the legal context.
To those who will read this investigation, the invitation is to sign the campaign "better in color" and on the other hand these pseudotherapies, because there is really nothing to cure.
