Quarta stazione: Gesù incontra una madre con un figlio in transizione
Reflections on the Via Crucis sent to us by Antonella Borighian, mother of Ale di Bari, of TRANSizioni Project
Fourth station: Jesus meets his mother
Simeon spoke to Mary, his Mother: "He is here for the ruin and resurrection of many in Israel, a sign of contradiction so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. And a sword will pierce your soul too." His Mother kept all these things in her heart. (Luke 2, 34-35.51)
Jesus took on his cross, he embraced it and he follows his path and it is a path, not an easy path, he knows it and yet he continues because The father's House is his destination. he Finds all the closeness and love in his mother's gaze; i imagine she thinks "i am with you, my son, wherever you go".
The mother suffers, she sees her son in pain, weighed down by the yoke, bleeding and mocked but she does not leave him: she will continue to follow him with her gaze when she can no longer get closer to Him.
It was like that for us somehow: my gaze followed my son and will always do it, from the first moment in which he decided to take the cross of his transition: in fact this will lead to the birth of a new man as well as Jesus in the resurrection. Now it is suffering, it is burden to bring, an impervious path to face, waiting for the rebirth.
My son also at the beginning of his journey was frightened and sad but knew his destination, he had clear his destiny in mind and knew that he would not be a walk but my gaze and closeness support him and accompany him: there are, I am with you and I will always be, my son.
