If Jesus knocks and the church keeps its doors closed!

This cartoon by NakedPastor* makes you smile... but it also asks a non-trivial question.
There is a large church with closed doors. Outside there is Jesus knocking and trying to enter. But someone looks out from a small window and, in a contemptuous tone, says to him: "Not you! You're too woke!". And Jesus replies despondently: “But it's my house!”.
Except that "too Woke" sounds almost paradoxical: it means you are too welcoming, too inclusive, too attentive to those left out.
So Jesus is outside, while the men of the church are inside... and the door remains closed. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock” (Rev 3:20), the Gospel reminds us. And so the question that remains there, suspended, is: "if Jesus is outside, with whom is he excluded, where is the church really?".
