Project Cornerstone: Integrative training for the inclusion of LGBT+ christians
The Cornerstone Project for all of 2025 aims to gather and share diverse testimonies and reflections on the inclusion of LGBT+ Christians and their families within our Christian communities (both Catholic and Evangelical). What are the challenges, opportunities, and practical ways to make this inclusion a reality?
What issues does it raise, and what possibilities does it open up? Can theology and Biblical study help us lay cornerstone foundations for building more inclusive Christian communities, so that “The stone the builders rejected” may become “the cornerstone” (Luke 20:17-18)?
The Cornerstone Project is coordinated by La Tenda di Gionata, an Italian association that supports LGBT+ Christians, their families, and the clergy and ministers who accompany them. It is supported by the Commission on Faith, Gender, and Sexuality of the Baptist, Methodist, and Waldensian Churches (Italy), the Italian Evangelical Youth Federation (FGEI), and several Christian organizations from around the world: Drachma Malta, the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics, the China Catholic Rainbow Community (China), and the Rainbow Home of Seven Sisters – RHOSS (India). Co-funded by the Otto per Mille fund of the Waldensian Church (Italy)
