"Get up and get your head, because your liberation is close" (Luke 21: 20-28)

To read these words superficially, it seems that those who attribute natural disasters and particular signs of the sky to the will of God, who would like with these signs to recall us to repentance and conversion are right: nothing more wrong. Jesus is clearly saying that, in a life made of misfortune, death and pain, injustice, man's violence on man, the believer must always look at his sacrifice, to have faith and live with vigilance, confident in the fact that Christ has come to free us from all this and give us eternal life
From the Gospel according to Luca 21: 20-28
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: «When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, know then that his devastation is close. Then those who are in the Judea flee to the mountains, those who are inside the city move away from it, and those in the countryside do not return to the city; In fact, it will be days of revenge, because everything that has been written is fulfilled. Woe to women who are pregnant and breastfeed in those days, because there will be great calamity in the country and anger against this people. They will fell on a sword and prisoners will be conducted among all peoples; Jerusalem will be trampled on by the pagans until the times of the pagans are accomplished. There will be signs in the sun, in the moon and in the stars, and on the anguish land of peoples anxious for the roar of the sea and waves, while men will die from fear and waiting for what will have to happen on earth. The powers of the skies will in fact be upset. Then they will see the son of man come to a cloud with great power and glory. When these things begin to happen, get up and get your head, because your liberation is close ».
