Jesus and the harshness of the heart (Mark 3: 1-6)
Reflections by Don Fabio
Take me by the hand, my God, guide me in the world in your way ... the road is so long and so hard, but with you in the heart I am not afraid. (Traditional song)
Marco 3: 1-6: "And looking at them all around with indignation, saddened by the harshness of their hearts, he said to the man," tend to hand! "
As I had already said on other occasions, Jesus has our own feelings: he rejoices, he is serene, laughs, but he also gets angry, he "indignation", as happens in today's episode.
If there is something that makes him angry most of everything is the "Hardness of the heart", that is, that malice, sometimes a consequence of unsafe wounds that we carry inside, which does not allow you to see the good of the other; It does not allow you to see the other!
One of the consequences of the hardness of the heart is the PARALYSIS: The paralysis of the mind… We close ourselves in our pseudo sains; The paralysis of feelings... for fear we no longer want to love and deprive ourselves to experiment with the beauty of falling in love; The paralysis of reason... a ruthless legalism that does not take into account the person, but only of the "rule".
We are made in the image of God, or rather, we are "Image of God", And for this "of course" devoted to good. Some circumstances of life can "dirty" this image and disfigure it. The way out, not easy, is forgiveness: before OURSELVES, And then of those who, possibly, made us harm!
With love Fabio!
