"If I can even touch his cloak, I will be saved" (Matteo 9: 18-26)
Biblical reflections by Mauro Leonardi*, priest and writer
Whoever believes touches Jesus, touches him kneeling, asks him touching Jesus, because faith is incarnation.
From the Gospel according to Matthew 9: 18-26
At that time, [while Jesus spoke,] came one of the leaders, prostrated him before him and said: "My daughter died right now; But come, impose your hand on her and she will live ». Jesus got up and followed him with his disciples.
And here, a woman, who had been leaks for twelve years, approached him behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. In fact, he said to himself: "If I can just touch his cloak, I will be saved". Jesus turned, saw her and said: "Courage, daughter, your faith has saved you." And from that moment the woman was saved.
Then arrived in the house of the boss and see the flutists and the crowd in agitation, Jesus said: "Go away! In fact, the girl is not dead, but sleeps ». And they derived it. But after the crowd was driven out away, he entered, he took her hand and the girl got up. And this news spread throughout that region.
