Online meetings for young LGBT Christians on the move
Dearest, we would like to point out some online appointments of LGBT Young Christian Project To which we care about inviting you 🙂
LUCKY FAMILIES (Saturday 25 April 2020)
Sabato 25 Aprile, incontro online che vedrà insieme i genitori cristiani con figli LGBT, i cristiani LGBT e gli operatori pastorali di tutta Italia. Un’iniziativa della rete 3 volte genitori con il Progetto Giovani Cristiani LGBT e il supporto de La Tenda di Gionata.
On the morning of April 25th, from 10 to 11.30 am online meeting of parents with LGBT children; instead in the afternoon from 4 to 5.30 pm, LGBT Christians, their parents and pastoral workers will meet to get to know each other and share experiences and stories in small discussion groups. To participate you must register by Sunday 19 April (even an online appointment has a physical limit of participants). Everyone is welcome.
FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT. Online route (30 April – 3 May)
On the same days as the retreat in Lecce which we had to postpone (due to the coronavirus), we are planning an online journey for and with young people, together with our parents and all those who wish to be there with specific attention to dialogue and meeting with the younger ones. The path will consist of 4 components:
– Evening meetings both in plenary and in small groups lasting approximately an hour and a half in total;
– Daily participation in morning praise and compline together with the Liturgy of the Hours group;
– The proposal, for those who wish, of a daily one-on-one telephone conversation with a religious person, with a couple of parents or with one of the adults/animators present;
– Participation in a dedicated Telegram channel or Whatsapp list where we will share materials for personal reflection and prayer.
In these moments we will face a fascinating biblical path that we are preparing with the help of Don Fausto, around the 4 words to start again that we have recently chosen all together through 40 responses to our survey: hope, essential, relationship and community. LITURGY OF THE HOURS online
The daily appointment also continues with the liturgy of the hours, curated in particular by some young people online with the Youth Project but open to all. Every day around 30 people meet at 9.30am for praise and at 10.30pm for compline and almost a family has formed.
