They look, but they don't see, listen, but do not mean (Marco 4,1-20)
Biblical reflections by Mauro Leonardi*, priest and writer
As Mary we are invited to be a virgin and fertile land that welcomes the word sown. God the Father does not make calculations. We are invited like Maria to welcome this word and keep it because it gives full fruit.

Gospel of Marco 4,1-20
Again he began to teach along the sea. And he gathered around him a huge crowd, so much so that he climbed on a boat and there remained sitting, staying at sea, while the crowd was on the ground along the shore. He taught them many things in parables and said to them in his teaching: «Listen. Here, the sowing came out to sow. As he sowed, a part fell along the road and the birds came and devoured it. Another fell between the stones, where there was not much land, and immediately he turned up because there was no deep ground; But when the sun rose, she remained burned and, not having root, she dry out. Another fell between the thorns; The thorns grew, suffocated it and did not fruit. And another fell on the good earth, gave fruit that came up and grew, and now made the thirty, now the sixty and now the one hundred for one ». And he said: "Whoever has ears to understand I mean!".
Then when it was alone, his together with the twelve asked him about the parables. And he said to them: "The mystery of the kingdom of God has been confided to you; To those outside, however, everything is exposed in parables, because: look, but do not see, listen, but do not mean, so that they do not convert and forgive them ». He continued telling them: "If you don't understand this parable, how can you understand all the other parables?
The sower sows the word. Those along the way are those in which the word is sown; But when they listen to it, Satan immediately comes, and takes away the word sown in them. Similarly those who receive the seed on the stones are those who, when they listen to the word, immediately welcome it with joy, but do not have a root in themselves, are inconstant and therefore, when the arrival of some tribulation or persecution because of the word, immediately They fall down.
Others are those who receive the seed between the thorns: they are those who have listened to the word, but the concerns of the world and the deception of wealth and all the other branches come, suffocate the word and this remains without fruit. Those who receive the seed on a good ground are those who listen to the word, welcome it and bring fruit to the extent who of the thirties, some of the sixty, some of the one hundred for one ".
