In Rome with Young Oikos, the group for Young Rainbow Christians
With great joy and a spirit of openness, Young Oikos is born, the new path of Mosaiko group designed specifically for all young LGBT+ Christians, with the aim of creating a space for reflection, sharing and conviviality. A place where you can be yourself, walk together in faith and grow spiritually, in full harmony with the message of love and welcome that Jesus has passed on to us
The word "Oikos", which in Greek means "home", perfectly represents the spirit of this new project: a welcoming home where everyone is called to participate as a friend and travel companion. “I no longer call you servants, but I have called you friends” (John 15.15) is the verse that guides this journey, because, as the Gospel reminds us, we are all friends of Christ, united in faith and mutual love.
Who can be part of Young Oikos? The group is open to all people aged 18 to 35.
What will we do together? Young Oikos will not only be a place of spiritual reflection, but also a space for socializing and sharing. The aim is to organize thematic events, training meetings and group activities, but also to participate in the initiatives already proposed by Mosaiko. The watchword is "inclusion" - every proposal, every idea will be evaluated together, creating a truly shared space, where everyone can feel an active part of the project.
Mosaiko invites all those interested to write and express their willingness to participate, so as to organize a first meeting. Furthermore, **proposals from members** will always be welcome: the group is for us and with us, so every suggestion, both for activities and events, will be fundamental to building our house together, Young Oikos.
