La Tenda di Gionata, was founded in 2018 by some volunteers from the Jonathan Project at the request of Don David Esposito, a priest of the diocese of Fermo (Marche) who passed away prematurely, who wanted to give birth to a reality of service (διακονία) that would favor thehospitalitythe training el'information of LGBT Christians, their family members and pastoral workers, as well as dialogue on these issues with the different Christian realities. In order for them to be “more and more sanctuaries of welcome and support for LGBT people and for every person affected by discrimination” and can fully implement what it states Gaudium et spes, when he observes that: «The joys and hopes, the sadness and anxieties of today's men, especially the poor and all those who suffer, are also the joys and hopes, sadness and anxieties of Christ's disciples.".
What do we actually do?
As a Christian voluntary association we want to commit ourselves to implementing initiatives that know "be a two-way bridge“, capable of encourage dialogue of LGBT Christians and their family members with pastoral workers and vice versa. We decided to engage primarily in three areas: reception, training and information.

How can you support us?
can become a member of the association La Tenda di Gionata, in this way with your annual card you will financially support our activities on which you will always be informed and, if you wish, you will be able to participate in our initiatives “inclusive” which we will carry out annually in various Italian locations. If you want to sign up just fill in the online form with your data and carry out the payment of the card annual of 20 euros (10 euros for the unemployed and students), which expires on December 31st of each year.
By joining the association we undertake to:
– to let you have them free of charge, whenever you request them from us published publications by the association;
– to informants via email on spiritual retreats, training meetings and gatherings organized in Italy with the contribution of la Tenda;
– to notify you via email of theological conferences or book presentations promoted in Italy by the association;
– to periodically update you with our newsletter via email, WhatsApp or Telegram.
These are the paths we want to achieve with your support. Help us travel these little-traveled roads aware that “There is no longer Jew or Greek; there is no longer slave nor free; there is no longer male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3, 28).
