Letizia Tomassone, una pastora valdese in cammino con le persone LGBT
.
Aware of the work carried out in over twenty years on these themes by the churches of historic Protestantism in Italy (Baptist, Methodist, Waldensian and Lutheran), with the support of Gionata's volunteers, the Evangelical Project in order to create a network of evangelical Christians open to discussion, to share the experiences lived by LGBT believers in different churches and to tell the story of the welcoming process carried out by numerous evangelical churches in Italy.
Per questo abbiamo chiesto a Letizia Tomassone, pastora della Chiesa Valdese che si occupa di Studi femministi e di genere presso la Facoltà Valdese di Teologia di Roma, “How did you meet LGBT people?”, like “l'changed this meeting” and in what “way the Evangelical Churches in Italy try to be welcoming worlds for LGBT people".
This video, created as part of the project “The truth sets you free" which collects video and written testimonies in which Christian parents with LGBT children, LGBT Christians and the pastors who accompany them tell their stories, which you will find all collected on https://www.gionata.org/tag/
We also invite you to read the free ebook "Things change. Gay and Christian lesbians tell each other“, Created by the weekly Reform In collaboration with the Gionata project, in which fifteen Christian lesbians and gays (Protestants and Catholics) tell how they found welcome in their churches.
