Lgbt christian people from Nuova Proposta explain on YouTube the reasons why they will be at the Euro Pride in Rome (June 1st to 12th 2011)
.
The volunteers of the Gionata Project, April 07, 2011
Dario, Caterina, Bernardo, Natascia, Andrea, Alessandra are homosexual and christian persons and belong to the group “Nuova Proposta, homosexual christian women and men” from Rome.
They spent their faces and their voices to realize a five-minute video, now on YouTube, to tell, in Italian with english subtitles, that this year italian and european homosexual Christians will attend the Euro Pride 2011 in Rome (June 1st to 12th 2011) “to say out loud that we do exist, that we should not give our spirituality up … firmly and yet serenely accepting the comparison with those who judge us, because we know God is Love and no one will separate us from this Love”.
For all of us to attend the Euro Pride means to have an exceptional opportunity to make information on “Faith and Homosexuality” and to make our contribution so that the debate within the Christian churches lead to the removal of barriers and prejudices .
It means also to have the opportunity to talk about Christ and spread His message of love and inclusion, to give a message of hope to homosexual and transsexual people who feel the need to combine (and we know that this can be done successfully) their faith and their affective orientation (or gender identity).
It finally means to come out of from darkness and silence; to show Italy and Europe that christian homosexual and transsexual people do exist, with the beauty of their lives, their work, their research. They exist in their desire to contribute to the evolution of the Church of God.
That’s why italian and european christian groups and organizations will join the Euro Pride 2011, marching together behind the banner of the European Forum of LGBT Christian Groups.
Are you joining the Euro Pride 2011? Are you coming to Rome?
We are waiting for you!
